frequently asked questions

Do you direct bill to insurance companies?

Yes, I offer direct billing to all major insurance companies. I ask that you send your insurance information to me via email (sarah@massagemood.com) before your first appointment.

How can I pay for my massage?

If you don’t have insurance or prefer to submit it yourself, you can pay for your appointment with cash, credit, or debit. I take payment using Square.

What should I wear to my massage appointment?

You can wear whatever you would like, but it’s always nice to put on something cozy afterwards. Before the treatment begins, I will leave the room and you will remove your clothing down to your underwear or nude (or whatever level of clothing you are comfortable with) and you will remain covered under the sheets during your treatment.

*If you are looking for kinetic style massage, which involves joint mobility and soft tissue manipulations, please wear clothing that allows you to move with ease. Gym shorts, yoga pants, t-shirts and tank tops work well for this fully clothed treatment.

What is your cancelation policy?

If you need to cancel, please do so at least 24-hours prior to the appointment start time. You will be charged a $50 fee for late cancellations or not showing up. Please note that if you are sick or there are extenuating circumstances, you will not be charged.

How often should I book a massage?

I generally recommend booking in every 4-6 weeks for general maintenance, but this varies from person to person. We will discuss your personalized treatment plan at your appointment.

Where are you located?

My massage practice is out of my home located in south west Calgary, in the community of Canyon Meadows. You will receive the exact address once your appointment is booked. There is lots of free street parking available.

What is your tipping policy?

Tips are not expected or required, but always graciously welcomed.
