  • Deep Tissue/Therapeutic

    Deep tissue massage is a great treatment option for chronic muscle pain, a musculoskeletal injury or postural imbalance. Deep tissue accesses is intended to reach the deepest layers of your muscles and connective tissues.

    Please note that although deep tissue work may be more intense, it’s important that you are still able to practice deep breathing throughout treatment. If you feel pain and tense up during the massage, this will often result in more muscle tension.

  • Myofascial Cupping

    Myofascial cupping uses silicone cups that suction to the skin, creating a negative pressure that encourages blood flow to the area. The cups helps soften the muscles tissues, making them more flexible and supple. Cupping is an effective precursor for deep tissue work.

    Please note that can leave bruise-like marks on the skin. This is a normal response to treatment, but good to be aware of.

  • Lymphatic Drainage

    Lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle form of massage used to relieve swelling from lymphedema. Lymphedema happens when your tissues retain fluid left behind after your heart pumps bloods to your tissues and organs. Normally, your lymphatic system collects the remaining fluid and returns it to your heart, but when something disrupts the process, lymph can collect and cause swelling.

    Please note lymphatic massage uses feather like pressure and no oils. Dry hands help to create traction on the skin and guide the lymph back to the heart.

  • Prenatal

    Prenatal massage can help provide relief for all of those pregnancy aches and pains, as well as help to reduce stress and decrease symptoms of depression. Depending on the stage in pregnancy and comfort level of the client, this treatment is often preformed in either a supine or side lying position to avoid putting any pressure on the belly.

    Please note that prenatal massage does not include massage to your baby belly and cupping of the belly is not advised.

  • Kinetic

    Kinetic massage is designed to relieve joint pain and inflammation while increasing flexibility. Range of motion is often restricted because of dysfunction in the joints and this specific style of massage will take the body through movement of each joint. This will help increase mobility by loosening the surrounding muscles and increasing the movement of synovial fluids in the joint.

    Please note kinetic massage is done with clothing on and without any gels or oils. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing that allows movement.

  • Intraoral TMJ

    Massage of the muscles making up the temporomandibular joint can help treat jaw pain, locking of the jaw, clicking, tension headaches or limited range of motion. This treatment involves therapeutic massage to the muscles in the face and neck, as well as intraoral massage of four specific muscles inside the mouth. When intraoral massage is done properly it can provide a lot of relief for dysfunction in the jaw.

    Please note gloves are worn during intraoral portion of the massage and it may can cause discomfort, but should not be painful.
